К этой группе эвфемизмов относятся военные тайны, связанные с войной, производством оружия, определенных видов техники, социальный и численный состав учреждений (не только военных), профиль их работы и многое другое.

(The Independent). Forces (силовики) является эвфемизмом, т.к. заменяет armies – армия во избегании прямой номинации; military operations означает the war война – образован перифразом, the war обладает негативной оценкой, поэтому автор избегает обозначения нежелательного денотата.
Nato said the configuration was “exactly how trained military professionals would arrange their assets on the ground”, indicating that the soldiers were not amateur rebels but Russian soldiers (The Independent). Arrange assets on the ground вместо выражения bring weapons of war into the place – ввозить боевое орудие на места.
Speaking to a youth camp outside Moscow on Friday, he said: "Russia is far from being involved in any large-scale conflicts (The Times). Эвфемизм largescale conflicts (крупномасштабный конфликт) в данном примере выступает в значении война – the war; образован длинным перифразом.
