Memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the city of Songnam of the Republic of Korea and the city of Namangan of the Republic of Uzbekistan
Songnam City and Namangan City, hereinafter referred to as the Parties, to promote mutual understanding and friendly relations and develop economic cooperation based on the principles of mutual respect, long-term economic cooperation on the basis of equality and mutual benefit. , in the desire to develop scientific, technical and cultural relations, agreed on the following:
Article 1 - The parties exchange information on the development of both cities on the basis of reciprocity and equality. The parties will establish wide-scale relations in the fields of economy, culture, healthcare, tourism, sports, education, and scientific technologies.
Article 2 - The parties will support the development of long-term cooperation in the fields of production, communication, transport, foreign trade and services, as well as business relations between organizations of both cities.
Article 3 - In order to contribute to the regional economic development of the two cities, the Parties will take concrete actions to accelerate the mutual relations of the companies of the two cities. Trade exhibitions are held for the exchange of new technologies.
Article 4 - In order to exchange ideas on issues of mutual interest and establish friendship, the parties will regularly visit other cities and organize meetings between municipal organizations, schools, institutes, companies and private organizations of both cities. they support.
Article 5 - This Memorandum may be amended and supplemented by written protocols, which are considered an integral part of this Memorandum, upon the agreement of the Parties.
The termination of this Memorandum does not affect the implementation of programs and projects that were started during its validity and were not completed until the date of termination. Done at Songnam on November 24, 2009, in two originals, each in the Korean, Uzbek and English languages, all texts being equally authentic.
