Components of sustainable development: "The future we dream of"
The need to transition to a "green economy" is due to the loss of balance between economic development and environmental conditions. However, in the past 30 years, the gross domestic product of the world has increased 4 times, 100 mln. people's lifestyles have improved, but this has led to greedy use of natural resources, environmental pollution, land degradation, and reduction of biodiversity. Currently, about 1 billion people of the planet lack water, 2-3 billion people do not have sanitary-hygiene conditions as in the pamphlet, 1-2 million people die every year. children are dying due to lack of drinking water, sanitation and hygiene conditions, 20% of wheat growers have no or insufficient water. 3-4 million annually during 2000-2020. hectares of forests are shrinking, 50-60% of land on the planet has become salty and dry, productivity has decreased by 20%, carbon dioxide SO2 emitted into the atmosphere has exceeded 49 billion tons worldwide, global climate change 2 billion people are suffering. By 2030, food prices will increase by 50%, energy by 45%, and water resources by 30%. Thus, the society has not always seen economic growth, although economic development has been observed, gender inequality, social injustice, poverty, and unemployment have existed.
A number of problems facing the "green economy" await their solution:
- environmental problems: these are climate changes, the decline of natural fertility of the land, the decrease of biodiversity, the exhaustion of natural capital reserves, the increase of poverty, the shortage of drinking water, pollution, the food crisis, the problem of energy, income increasing inequality in distribution is observed.
In solving these issues, it is envisaged to achieve a sharp increase in the efficiency of natural capital, physical capital and human capital in terms of introducing "green" investments, "green" shares, and "green" loans into "Green economy" sectors.
There is a need to develop "green" infrastructure, reform the communal economy system, develop "green" construction, and increase the efficiency of "green" energy.
Emission of greenhouse gases SO 2 into the atmosphere, achieving carbon neutrality has become the main issue. (2022y).
In order to transition to ecologically sustainable development in Uzbekistan, it is necessary to change the traditional development model and cancel the "anti-sustainability" trends in the economy. In this process, the transition from the model of extensive export of raw materials to the model of sustainable development of the national economy and extensive afforestation of the society play an important role.
Carbon dioxide SO 2 emissions into the atmosphere, China takes the first place with 28%, the second place is the USA with 15%, the third place is India with 7%, Germany is the sixth place (the first place in Europe) with 2%, Brazil (the main producer of carbon monoxide SO 2 gas in South America) occupies 1% and Australia 1%.
