What is your morning routine?
Well, if I can manage resisting picking up my phone (I’m getting better
about that), then I just go right into the shower. No matter how crappy I
might feel, showers are perfect refreshers. Then I pray. I always feel more
confident when I speak out what I’m thankful for and what I’m expecting.
You collaborate and promote a lot of other women. What inspired that?
And how has that helped you and your business?
This is the age of sharing. If you aren’t collaborating and working with
other brands, you’re making your work way harder then it needs to be. It’s
helped #bossbabe™ reach all different pools of women who have needed
and used our services. Since we have a large Internet presence, it’s also a
great place for other entrepreneurs to get some quick and massive exposure.

How do you handle fear?
Oh boy! Good old fear, huh? Well, when fear creeps in, I usually call my
mentor. He puts my in my place and reminds me that I’m losing sight and
falling for an illusion. I believe that on some dimension everything that
could happen has already happened and it’s up to us here and now to decide
which scenario we pick. The fearful ones, I stay away from.
What is one piece of advice you have for a female entrepreneur just
starting out?
I know I’m biased but I’d tell her to follow #bossbabe on social media. It
helps everyone stay motivated, even me. You have to keep your head in the
game because if not, you’ll just get sucked back into the world of mediocre.

Take a social media diet
This is hands-down my top tip. Social media can be a fantastic tool for
growing your business, but it can chew you up and spit you out just as fast.
When you feel yourself getting on the crazy train, vow to take a break from
social media. Plan your break and even schedule it into your calendar if
needed. Close out of your browsers, turn the notifications off on your
phone, etc. Set aside a two-hour break, a three-day break, whatever you
need to reset your thinking and get out of “compare and despair” mode.

When will you build a social media break into your calendar? How will you
take that break?

Meditate
Meditation does not have to involve chanting and sitting cross-legged on
the floor. To meditate simply means to clear your mind and focus on a
positive, affirming thought. And there is nothing like meditation to tap into
your purest thoughts and get in touch with your true self. Set aside ten
minutes a day to spend in a quiet place, taking a few deep breaths. Create a
mantra for yourself that makes you feel proud of who you are. Some
examples: “I am enough,” or “I am perfect and my story is valuable.”
When will you meditate? What is your mantra?
