Surmai afsuni faybatdirit is antimony, and whoever puts it on his eyes, it disappears. This is apparently the superstition of the people of magic and trickery and is the science of the Hindus… [3; 126].
Chashmband – a spell recited by magicians to blindfold; a mill is something that is attached to an ox's eye (to stand alone - J.I.). The first is famous, and the second (literally) Shifai says:
Govi xaros ast sipehri baland,
Bar sari u mahu hur chashmband [3;78].
Of course, when explaining these spells, the author did not intend to expand their meaning and scope of use, but rather to explain the art created with the participation of these units and to emphasize which people are the main owners of these magics:
Khatti hisor – a circle and a latch, which Azoimkhans( spellcaster) draw around themselves or around others. And most of the time its use is in Indian and Indian words, because this practice is the practice of Hindu azaimkhans. Salim says:
Chi sodagist, ki xoli labi tu oxiri kor,
Ba girdi khesh chu hindu khati hisor kashid.
What a beauty, the end is empty
He built a barrier around him like a Indian [3; 92].
Doira kashidan – ... in Hindi they say chanda (چندہ), it is the translation of a circle [3; 97]; Fusuni judoiyas a spell, read to break the relationship between two people; in Arabic they say “duoulbughz”... [3; 160].
Sangi yada [3; 132], Yada [3; 219] is the explanation of the dictionary, in the form of «a spell in Turks», information was given about which people it is, and for what purpose it is used, and an Arabic translation was also given, such as «and in Arabic it is called hajarulmatar (rain stone)». This Turkic word is also used in Firdausi's poems as an example
The dictionary also contains many rituals and habits related to various fields and peoples, which are mostly explained with a one- or two-sentences explanation:
Yak shoxi chodar afgandan – So, harlots and depraved women tear down their tent because of gaiety and lewdness... [3; 220];
