11.2.What is CEFR?
The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is an international standard for describing language ability. It describes language ability on a six-point scale, from A1 for beginners, up to C2 for those who have mastered a language. This makes it easy for anyone involved in language teaching and testing, such as teachers or learners, to see the level of different qualifications. It also means that employers and educational institutions can easily compare our qualifications to other exams in their country.Although the CEFR is “European,” it is used in many countries around the world to talk about language proficiency. Because the CEFR is international, it’s very helpful for language learners and language teachers to talk about levels. There are six levels in the CEFR: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, and C2. If you’re familiar with the idea of English language standards, the CEFR is similar.The CEFR doesn't describe language in terms of number of vocabulary words or grammar structures. The CEFR focuses on what students can do with the language. For example, students at level B1 can give descriptions on a variety of familiar subjects related to their interests. C1 students can give clear, well-structured descriptions of complex subjects. That’s why the CEFR can be used for any language, not just English. Learning your CEFR level can be really helpful to you as an English student!
11.3.What is decision making?Decision making is the process of making choices by identifying a decision, gathering information, and assessing alternative resolutions.Using a step-by-step decision-making process can help you make more deliberate, thoughtful decisions by organizing relevant information and defining alternatives. This approach increases the chances that you will choose the most satisfying alternative possible.In its simplest sense, decision-making is the act of choosing between two or more courses of action.
12.1.If you are a visual learner, you learn by reading or seeing pictures. You understand and remember things by sight. You can picture what you are learning in your head, and you learn best by using methods that are primarily visual. You like to see what you are learning. They prefer looking at things to absorb information rather than listening to it (auditory) or using their hands (kinesthetic). For example, a visual learner would learn to fix a car better if they watch an instructional video rather than listening to an expert explain the process. Characteristics of visual learner:Reader/observer. Scans everything; wants to see things, enjoys visual stimulation. Enjoys maps, pictures, diagrams, and color. 2. Time management is the process of organizing and planning how to divide your time between different activities. The benefits of managing time are simple. Good time management allows you to accomplish bigger results in a shorter period of time which leads to more time freedom, helps you focus better, allows you to be more productive, lowers your stress and gives you more time to spend with the people that matter most. 3. Presentation skills are the abilities one needs in order to deliver compelling, engaging, informative, transformative, educational, enlightening, and/or instructive presentations. 4 steps to great presentations.Follow these 4 steps to make great presentations. 1) Consider your audience and their vantage point.2) Structure the story you want to tell.3) Draw your slides accordingly.4) Present with conviction.That is it. Follow these 4 steps and you’re well on the way to make great presentations.
