Islam, its main currents and trends

Current flows. In the second half of the 7th century, about twenty different groups appeared among the Khawarij. The largest of them are the Ibadis, Azorikas and Sufris, who were named after their leaders.
Prayer. Ibadiyyah is considered the most moderate among other Khawarij groups and is the only Khawarij sect that has survived to our time. The founder of this sect was Abdullah ibn Ibad (or Abad), who died during the reign of the Umayyad caliph Abd al-Malik ibn Marwan (685-705). The teachings of this sect are moderate, and it does not prevent them from marrying other Muslims and sharing their inheritance with them. Also, their teaching allows to start a war against other Muslims only after declaring it with documents and evidence. On the contrary, other Khawarij believe it is permissible to start a war against them without announcing, forbidding them to marry Muslims of a different stream, to eat the meat of animals slaughtered by them, to share their inheritance with them. His sin is greatA person who commits (a major sin) is considered an infidel, and it is possible to kill and confiscate the property of other religions ( ahl az-zimm a) who are paying compensation ( jizya ).
Al-Ibadiyyah jurisprudence and Ahl al-Sunnah differ on many practical religious issues ( furu' ). The teachings of this sect are summarized in many manuscripts and printed books. The most important published book is "Sharh an-nil" published in ten volumes by Muhammad ibn Yusuf ibn Utfaish. Representatives of this sect live in Morocco and Oman.
Azraqis . The founder of the group of Azraqis ( Azoriqa) is Nafi' ibn al-Azraq (d. 685). This community, which is considered the most intolerant and ruthless among the Khawarij groups, has not reached the present day.
The following are the characteristics of Azorika teaching:
 Those who considered Caliph Ali to be an " infidel ";
 those who declared the Muslims who have sinned greatly as infidels ;
non-Azeris Muslims, their elders, women and children who considered it halal to shed their blood ( istirada ) ;
