Music lessons.
Music is the most effective method of influencing the emotional and sensual side of students. Music and songs are of great help in learning foreign languages. Songs are of great interest because they create positive emotions and "include" in the culture of the country of the language being studied. In addition, songs serve as a means for better assimilation and expansion of the lexical vocabulary, as the student learns new vocabulary and speech patterns.
In songs, already familiar words and expressions may occur in a different context. In lyrical song works there are often proper names, geographical names, poetic words and expressions. This affects the development of students' linguistic sense, as well as their knowledge of the basics and stylistic features of the language being studied. But most importantly, thanks to the musical approach, a favorable psychological atmosphere is created in the lesson, the psychological load is reduced, and the desire to learn foreign languages is supported.
When students sing, they get the opportunity to relax a little, take a short break in the ordinary learning process in the classroom. This is a kind of small rest in the middle or end of the lesson, when students need unloading, which reduces stress and restores working capacity.
ICT (information computer technology?)
The use of new computer technologies in the process of teaching foreign languages is one of the important aspects of improving the educational process.
In order to improve the study of foreign languages at school, teachers are increasingly introducing information technologies into the educational process, since with their help more effective foreign language communicative competencies of students are formed. Information and communication technologies play a significant role in the development of positive motivation for learning: students develop the necessary communication skills in various types of speech activity, present sociocultural material in an interesting way, and thus learn to complete tasks on their own. From the point of view of psychology, the motivation to learn a foreign language increases significantly with the informational teaching of this subject to the language, creating psychologically favorable conditions in the lesson, providing interactivity in communication.
Project method
Project activity allows an individual to perform work on the topic, significantly stimulating the interest of each project participant.
The positive aspect of the project method is that textbooks, as necessary, resort to additional sources to find the necessary material, try to analyze it, compare and select the most important and significant.
In the course of project activities, students not only learn to use special programs for creating projects, but also try to overcome their fear of speaking, not be afraid of outsiders, adequately respond to questions from other participants, and evaluate their work.
The project method is an effective technique for developing a student's interest in learning a foreign language.
