PRODUCTION OF EXTRACTED PHOSPHATIC ACID FROM PHOSPHATE RAW MATERIALS
Purpose of work:Phosphoric acid is added to phospharite (apatite)2SO4 to study in practice the conditions of extraction by the method of extraction using.
Theoretical part
Phosphoric acid is formed by thermal or complete decomposition of phosphates using sulfuric acid. The complete decomposition of apatite under the action of sulfuric acid is shown in the following equation:
Ca5F (PO4)3+ 5H2SO4= 5CaSO4+ 3H3PO4+ HF
In this case, other mineral raw materials that are part of the raw material are broken down. H3PO4 to H2SO4 to decompose phosphates in practice (dilute solution) is added.
Required equipment and reagents:Electric hob, tripod, 500 ml beaker, mixer, phosphorite flour, concentrated sulfuric acid, micro burette for titration.
Procedure
The volume of phosphate degradation that occurs with the formation of phosphoric acid is 1-2 lis carried out in a beaker, the stirrer is set. Place the glass in a water bath or on an electric stove to heat to the desired temperature. The mixer is started and stirred for a certain time. At the end of the process, the pulp obtained is filtered.
Porcelain mortar 100-200 gramsphosphate is added. Then in separate cups H2SO4(75%) and a dilute solution is prepared.
Consumption of sulfuric acid (75%) is found from the following formula:
