V. Von Gumboldt’s views on the harmony of lan-
guage and character

Abstract
Anthropocentrism is a major scientific paradigm that has been de-
veloping rapidly over the last century. This situation is rapidly reflected in 
linguistics as well. The formal features of language phenomena are related 
to the linguistic mechanism of consciousness, thinking and speech forma-
tion, the fact that speech formation is a unique and complex process, de-
spite the fact that these issues have been the subject of several studies up 
to our time, the lack of theories that cover the full essence of the process is 
a reminder to the scientific community known. The issue of the relation-
ship between language and individual character is one of the issues that 
has not еt been resolved. This issue has entered the scope of linguistics and 
philosophical research based on the views of W. Fon Humboldt, a represen-
tative of classical German philosophy. This article describes the scientist’s 
views on the harmony of language and character.
