Political parties and movements:
1991 - People's Democratic Party of Uzbekistan (PDPU);

1995 - Social Democratic Party "Adolat";

1995 - Party "Vatan Tarakkiyoti" (in 2000 merged with the party "Fidokorlar" in one party under the name "Fidokorlar");

1995 - Democratic Party "Milliy Tiklanish";

2000 - National Democratic Party "Fidokorlar" (at the beginning of 2008 the political parties "Milliy Tiklanish" and "Fidokorlar" announced a merger into one party called "Milliy Tiklanish");

2003 - Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan (UzLiDeP);

2008 - Public Association "Ecological Movement of Uzbekistan". (The movement was transformed into the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan on January 8, 2019. It received registration on January 24, 2019).
The Oliy Majlis of the first convocation (1995-1999) included 69 representatives from the People's Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, 47 from the Adolat Social Democratic Party, 14 from the Vatan Tarakkiyoti party and 7 from the Milliy Tiklanish party, the rest of the deputies were nominated by the representative authorities.

The first elections to the legislative chamber of the bicameral parliament were held on December 26, 2004, as a result of which deputies from the LDPU, PDPU, Fidokorlar, Adolat, and Milliy Tiklanish parties were elected to the lower house.


On December 21, 2014, regular elections to the legislative chamber of parliament were held, as a result of which 52 deputies from the Liberal Democratic Party, 36 deputies from the Milliy Tiklanish party, 27 deputies from the People's Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, 20 deputies from the Social Democratic Party were registered "Adolat" and 15 more deputies received their mandates from the Ecological Movement of Uzbekistan, in accordance with the Law on elections to the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which was in force before the adoption of the Electoral Code.

Administrative divisions

The Republic of Uzbekistan consists of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions, rural-type districts, urban-type districts, cities of regional subordination, cities of district subordination, villages (villages and auls).
