A few short tips:

  • Delete the information in parentheses - it is not important.

  • Do not abuse the word «can»: it shows the uncertainty of the author.

  • Avoid single-root words in one or neighboring sentences.

  • Do not use introductory words and excellent degree.

  • Write mainly in the third person.

  • Refer to the sources when you bring out unpublished facts.

  • Place meaningful words at the beginning and end of a sentence.

  • Make paragraphs not longer than 6-8 lines.

  • Do not engage or act in any way.

When the article is finished, read it out loud - it is easier to understand what needs to be corrected.
So how do you write a good article? Select the current problem topic, determine for which audience you will write, come up with a header, make a catching lead, find bright information, describe the essence of the problem and its solutions, express your point of view, support it with expert quotes, summarize the conversation. Such a text will interest the reader and draw attention to its author.

Each of these stages consists of a large number of small steps, which in the future we will analyze in detail. You can write the article in the following order. But we want to warn you in advance about one particular feature of what you are about to face. This work is creative and rarely done consistently in linear logic. It often happens that deepening into the material and further work on the text, the advice of a colleague, the expert review or the response of the editor of the publication open up new facets of the subject you are writing about. These discoveries can radically change your plans and require you to completely revise the text, return to the previous stages of work, up to the change of the topic. You don’t have to be afraid. Even if, despite all our recommendations aimed at optimizing the writing work, this happens - consider it a good opportunity for self-education. Returning to the previous stages will always work to increase your skill, and each new round you will pass faster and more successfully.


As a more targeted orientation in tasks that require your efforts on the way ahead, you can use Table 1. It reflects all the operations that need to be performed by the author to write and publish his article. You can print it out, and next to each item, you can outline the expected date by which you plan to complete this operation, and then you can note when the item was completed and how many approaches you have taken to complete it. So you’ll have an extra visual motivator. The tablet with the plan on the desktop will help to control your work and will provide material for further analysis. Having determined your own speed from one point to another, when preparing the following articles you will be able to plan this work more precisely for yourself.
