MEHRBON(U) BEGIM (Eng. Mihrban Begim) – She was the second daughter of Umarshaikh Mirza. Her mother was Umid Aghacha, who gave birth to Nasir Mirza [“B”, on folio 9a].

MEHRIBON XONIM (or Mehrixonim) Eng. Mihriban Khanim)) – It is a name of queen from Shaibanids dynasty. She was a wife of Temur Sultan, the elder son of Shaibani-Khan. She was the mother of Pulat Sultan [“B”, on folio 352 a]. Mehriban Kahnim had a title “Mahdi ulyo”. She had a madrasah built in Samarkand by his order.

MEHRJON (Eng. Mihrjan) – Name of Babur’s daughter. Her name was mentioned in one of his rubais. (see the rubai sampled for letter “G”) T.Faizuev who investigated dynasty of the Baburids wrote that she was born from Babur’s wife called Mihri Begim, but it was not mentioned in “Humayun-nama”. The name of “Mihrjan” perhaps may be the endearment name of “Mihri Jahan”.

MEHRIJAHON (or MEHRJAHON) BEGIM (Eng. Mihr-jahan Begim) –She was daughter of Babur. (Her name was written as “Mihri Begim). She was born after Barbul and Humayun in Host. Babur wrote that Mihri-jahan Begim and later two daughters died in their childhood [“B”, on folio. 220 a].

MEHRINIGOR XONIM (Eng. Mihri-Nigar Khanim) (1460, Ettikand -1509, Badakshan) – Babur’s elder aunt. She was elder daughter of Yunus-Khan and Esan-Daughlat. She was married to Sultan Ahmad Mirza. In 1501 Shaibani-Khan got her under his marriage, after he seized Samarkand. Mihri-Nagar Khanim accompanying Shakh-Begim, Babur’s grand step-mother went out from Shakhrizabz to Khurasan and Herat. Muhammad Husain received them and brought to Babur’s palace in Kabul (1504). Mihri-Nigar Khaim went to Badakshan accompanied by her cousin Mirza-Khan in 1508. Mubarak-Shakh invited them to Qala-i-zafar in 1509. But on the way they were attacked by Abubakr Daughlat and teken to prison, and soon she died in the prison.

MEHTAR LOM (Eng. Mehtar Lam) – Name of mythical person. According to myth he was the father of Noah. Babur tied the origin of the name of Lamghan province by his name. “The grave of Mehtar Lam, father of Noah was in Lamghan province” [“B”, on folio 133 a]. (Presently there existing town on the bank of river Alishang in Langham province of Afghanistan).
