MIRZO (Eng. Mirza) –It is shortened form of words “mirzo, amirzoda”. During the Temurids reign all the names of royal members were added this word, including names of princes and rulers. But Babur intending to change the tradition took the name “Padshah” instead “Mirza” since 1507 [“B”, on folio 215 a]. The word “mirza” commonly added after the personal name, in rare cases before (while in Baburnama it was used always after the name, so the “Babur encyclopedia” also uses this structure). In many records the word “mirzawas written alone without name, though it was clear which of royal member was being mentioned. In the course of times this word has become simple name used publicly losing all its previous expressions.
