MUNFASIL – It is a literary term of Arabic origin used in Aruz. There was noted that real rhythms “fo’ilotun and “mustaf’ilun” are formed in two ways in the book “A”. (on folio 3 a, b) they are
“fo’i-lo-tun va fo-‘ilo-tun, Mus-taf-‘ilun va mus-taf’i-lunp49 (in the fisrt way: “vatad” is in the one side, the two “sabab” in other, while in the second way: “vatad” two but “sabab” is in the middle.) Babur termed the results of the second way as “munfasil”. A.A. MURABBA’ – It is a literary term. 1) It expresses type of the poemin which every line consists of two “rukn”s(syllables). It is used very rare in lyrical poetry. Babur noted that in most cases it is possible to read poems with four “rukn” as two “rukn” (“A”, on folio 25 a, b). 2) A kind of poetry which consists of four syllables. Usually they are rhymed as “aaaa, bbba, ggga or aaab, cccb”. Differing from rubai there is no limits in sillable in a line in murabba. There was included one lined murabba into Babur’s Diwan. 3) the form of the shape, usually used for surface or lands. It must be equal in all its sides as square. A.A. References: Sh.Yarqin. The name of the village was cited that the distance between Atowa and Muri was 8 “kurikh” (about 65 kms) [“B”, on folio 358 b]. Babur stopped in Muri in 1528. B.Y. MUROD QO’RCHI (Eng. Murad Qurchi) – It is a name of the ambassador sent to Babur’s palace by Shah Tahmashp in 1528. Babur received first ambassador from bangolia then Murad Qurchi. He lived in Babur’s palace for short period. Then he was gifted with valuable belt and dirk and let to go. [“B”, on folio 381 b] Q.E. MURODBAXSH (or Sulton Murodbaxsh) Eng. Muradbakhsh)(1624-1661) – He was a representative of royal dynasty. He was the fifth son of Shahjahan and Arjumand Banu Begim (or Mumtaz Mahal begim). He was set as ruler of Jugarat. When Shahjahan fell ill, he began struggle to seize the crown making agreement with Aurangzeb. He could persuade his brother promising to give his brother al the provinces north from Agra including Punjab, Sind, Kashmir and Afghanistan. They could conquer Agra easily after they defeated the army led by Shahjahan and Maharaja Jasvant Sinkh in the battle of Dkharmatpur. Aurangzeb sent his father to prison in fortress of Agra, later he took even Muradbakhsh took prison and sent him to Gwalior as a prisoner where after three years was executed. B.Y.
