INTRODUCTION (annotation of the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) dissertation in philological sciences)
Relevance and necessity of the dissertation topic. Although the description of language as the most important means of communication is quite old in world linguistics, this aspect was not the main object of study until the middle of the XIX century. The interpretation of linguistic means, text/discourse as means of communication has also passed a certain historical stage, but views on the description of communication participants have not yet come to an end. In particular, the role and influence of the concept of affiliation to a specific group as an integral part of the socio-economic and spiritual-ethical life of mankind, which is faced with the demands of modern globalization, is also increasing.
Although it has become a tradition in world linguistics to see language in the process of communication based on anthropocentric principles, research has mainly focused on the content of communication. Today, it is becoming a priority to study social, gender, and age characteristics that increase the effectiveness of communication.
In the linguistics of our country, there have been several studies focused on the description of the linguistic personality, such as anthropolinguistics and sociolinguistics, but there are still not many monographic works that focus on the solution of theoretical problems. As President Sh.M. Mirziyoyev noted, "...the task of developing scientific research and innovative activities, comprehensively supporting creative ideas and developments"³⁴ reuires conducting research in accordance with the spirit of the times and conducting various practical experiments. Special attention is paid to the research on the descriptive and personality-forming functions of the language.
The Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PF-4732 on June 12, 2015 "On measures to further improve the system of retraining and professional development of management and pedagogic personnel of higher educational institutions", the Decree No. PF-4794 on May 13, 2016 "On the establishment of the Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature named after Alisher Navoi", No. PF-4947 on February 7, 2017 "On the Strategy of Actions for the further development of the Republic of Uzbekistan" and the Decisions No. PQ-1875 of the President of the Republic Uzbekistan on December 10, 2012 "On measures to further improve the system of teaching foreign languages", and No. PQ-2909 on April 20, 2017 "On measures of further development of the higher education system" and this scientific research serve to a certain extent for the implementation of the tasks defined in the other relevant regulatory legal documents related to this activity.
