The topicality of the research work: knowing how to express agreement and disagreement in English is necessary to make communication process more effective with native speakers of English ,which is critical in both personal and professional setting, to build relationships and rapport which facilitate smoother interactions with speakers, develop critical thinking and language proficiency and help students participating group discussion and express their own opinion freely.
In the age of high technology and rapidly changing reality, more and more new words come into use, many of which are difficult and incomprehensible. Therefore, the primary task of an English language teacher is to work on enriching and clarifying the vocabulary of schoolchildren: the more words a person owns, the more accurately communication between people is realized, both verbally and in writing. In solving this problem, the student is primarily helped by dictionaries of various orientations, in particular linguistic ones. In my research, I tried to reveal expressing agreement and disagreement in English, aimed at developing students' speech, at enriching their vocabulary.
The object of the research work is dialogic units containing expressions of agreement and disagreement English communication. Specifically, the study examines the various linguistic tools and strategies that English speakers use to express their agreement or disagreement with others in different contexts
The subject of the research work is the Pragmatics of English language that can help us to analyze and understand these differences, and to identify the social, cultural, and situational factors that influence the ways in which speakers use language to express agreement or disagreement.
The aim of the research is the cognitive and national-cultural approach to expressing agreement and disagreement in English.
Objectives for achievement the goal:
1. To interpret the subject matter of the theory of agreement and disagreement;
2. To give main directions in the history of agreement and disagreement;
3. To demonstrate importance of expressing agreement and disagreement;
in language teaching and major research purposes;
4. To define methods of expressing agreement and disagreement for improving language skills;
5. Classifying types of texts focusing expressing agreement and disagreement;
6. To differentiate national-cultural peculiarities when expressing agreement and disagreement
7. To create complex of activities on expressing agreement and disagreement for ESP students;
8. To implement activities on the students` acquisition of expressing agreement and disagreement in the English classroom;
9. To demonstrate the results obtained in the process of the experiment on the acquisition of expressing agreement and disagreement in English classroom.
