Topicality of this qualification paper may be argued by the fact that nowadays the great attention is paid to the research of the ways of developing ESP learners’ ability of understanding and using the language in specific context. In addition, integrating content –based cartoons is one of the greatest ways of bringing specific content into the classroom. With the help of it students’ ability of understanding the content and using it will be developed.
The aim of the qualification paper is applying and testing content based cartoons in specific areas in our case in medicine
According to this general aim the following particular tasks are put forward:
-to define the ways of integrating content-based cartoons in ESP
-to reveal the ways of improving communicative competence skills
-to apply and test the innovative techniques of developing students ability of understanding and using the language in their specific content
-to establish methodical suggestions in applying cartoons in the lesson with ESP learners
The actuality of the Project is identified in its content that follows the sequence of areas related to CLT. The author thinks critically and compares her personal experiences with those reflected in the vignettes. By reflecting on the action the author tries to use gained experiences that has been gained throughout the Center course.
The object and subject matter of the project is the implementation of CLT in the language-teaching context of Uzbekistan.
The aim and tasks of the project work is to give handful language teachers direction in exploring the principles of CLT and present the possible ways of implementing them in their teaching. The given examples and samples of lesson and activities help teachers of English in using the principles of CLT in their context. Furthermore, the implementation is the handling author’s practical action correction.
Theoretical and practical value of the project work is to show how theory can be brought into practice with the help of language tasks and activities that illustrate how CLT can be implemented in inputs. Theoretical value of the project work presents the core idea of CLT which is explored in the context of the author. The practical value is showed in the samples of lesson plans and analysis of them given in the homework tasks.
