A little / a few / little / few can be used as a pronoun.

Little / a little can be used before comparative degrees of adjectives and adverbs.
e.g. Can you move a little faster?
Can she speak a little clearer?
Can we finish our lesson little later?
They should try little harder.


THE ARTICLE
The article the is used before the nouns which are known for both speaker and listener.
e.g. I haven’t checked the quizzes.
The result of her quiz was very bad.
The man was coming closer.
The course will be open on Sundays.

We use the article the with nouns which are located in a certain place.

e.g. Open the window.
Close the door.
Pass the bag to me.
Clean the board.

We can use the article the in order to talk about a group of animals or things. In such cases we cannot use plurals nouns after the article.

e.g. The whale is becoming very extinct.
Our lives would be a little better without the phone.
The wolf is becoming more.

We cannot use the article the before the word man when it means humanity.

e.g. This virus is the worst disaster that the man has ever seen.

The + adjective refers to a certain group of people that have the quality that is described with the adjective in the structure and after this structure we use plural form of verbs.
e.g. The rich have difficulties like the poor.

The reliable can keep secrets safely and securely.

We can use the + surname + s when we want to talk about all members of that surname.

e.g. The Tolibboyevas are having a party together.
The Karimovas are waiting for Maftuna in the outside.
The Usmonovs are organizing a dinner.

We use the article the before ranks and titles when they come alone in the sentence. But if there is a name or surname after them, we cannot use the article.

e.g. The president himself visited our house.
The president Mirziyoyev will visit the UAE next week.
The queen herself told her name.
