1. Vibrating massage – this is rhythmical vibrating movements on massed surface, that improves blood circulation, exchange
processes, trophy of the tissues, accelerates the regeneration processes. Special vibrating massagers and vibrating tooth-brushes are used for these purposes. Vibrating massage is most effective at initial stages of parodont diseases and is appointed after tooth calculi and plaque removal. Duration of one session is no more than 5 mines for each jaw, quantity of sessions is 15. 2. Manual massage - improves blood and lymph circulation, activates metabolism, and stimulates gas exchange in parodont tissues. The gingiva is massed with index finger, placing it on the transitive fold at the base of the intertooth papilla. Then the finger is moved to its top – 6-10 movements. Contra-indications: acute current of diseases, presence of abscesses, erosions, ulcers, apthas, tumors. IX. Heat therapy 1. Mud cure – use of the medical dirt, rendering beneficial influence on tissues. Sulphidic dirt, peat, etc are used. Biogenic stimulators and the microelements absorb through the mucous membrane, which influences on sensitive receptors, and metabolism is stimulated. The dirt is imposed on the gingiva by application or electrophoresis. Before the application the dirt is cleaned from rough particles and is heat up to 40 о С . Then it is reeled in gauze swabs and is put on the vestibule of the mouth for 10-20min. The course consists of 10-15 procedures. 2. Paraffin and ozokerite therapy. Paraffin is a white crystalloid substance, consisting of high-molecular hydrocarbons with fusion temperature of 50-55 о С . It has big thermal capacity, small heat conductivity, and is transferred by tissues very well. Ozokerite (or mineral wax) has fusion temperature of 52-68 о С . It consists of oils and pitches, which contain biologically active substances. Ozokerite has resorptive, anti-inflammatory, anesthetizing and antiseptic effect. Fused paraffin-ozokerite is imposed on gingiva, by gauze napkins saturated in it, for 10-20 min. The course consists of 10-15 sessions. X. Criotherapy - or local hypothermia, the method of treatment based on application of low temperatures. Under their influence pain sensitivity goes down in tissues, puffiness decreases, exchange processes are slowed down, hypoxia and acidosis decrease, phagocyte activity of leukocytes increases. Advantages of criotherapy are: it is painless; it has limited destroying action and expressed haemostatic effect. Liquid nitrogen, Freon, etc are used as freezing liquids. Into the complex of treatment by hypothermia enter: - crioblowing, when liquid nitrogen is moved from distance of 2-4mm, the exposition is 10-30sec. - contact criodestruction, when freezing is spent by direct contact of the working part of the criodevice with the tissues, the exposition is 10-20sec. - criocurettage – is used at treatment of hypertrophic gingivitis, fibromatosis of gingiva, generalized parodontitis. The exposition is 35- 44sec., t o =60-140 о С . XI. Magnetic therapy – the use of the constant magnetic field for medical purposes. The devices "Полюс-1", «Олимп-1», etc are used. Magnetic field has anti-inflammatory, anti-spastic, anesthetizing effect, accelerates regeneration processes. The application is shown at initial stages of parodontosis, catarrhal gingivitis, ulcers and traumas of the oral cavity mucous membrane, acute arthritis of TMJ. XII. Oxygen therapy - the purpose is saturation of tissues by oxygen. The simplest way is the saturation by wadded tampons moistened with peroxide of hydrogen, potassium permanganate (KMnO 4 ). There is also a way of oxygen introduction by injections into the free part of the gingiva. An oxygen blister is formed on the injection place, which resolves through 25-30min. It is also possible to carry to this technique the ozone therapy. Download 0.52 Mb. Do'stlaringiz bilan baham: |
