3. Microwave therapy - application of alternating electromagnetic fluctuations of ultrahigh frequency (2375MHz) with wave length of 
12,5sm. Electromagnetic waves are capable to get into tissues on depth of 5-7sm, where energy is taken up and is turned into endogen 
warmth. 
Microwave therapy causes: 
- expansion of vessels
- activating of the blood circulating
- normalization of the trophy and the metabolism
- decrease of sensitivity of the nervous receptors
- stimulation of the regeneration process
The device "Луч-2" is used for microwave therapy. Influence is dosed on 5-7 min, quantity of procedures is 10-12.
There are 3 doses - small (1-3Wt), middle (4-6Wt) and big (7-10Wt). Small dose is recommended at acute inflammatory processes 
(alveolitis, pericoronaritis, osteomyelitis). At subacute processes application of the middle dose is possible.
Ceramic radiators of various diameters are applied on the device (the most convenient one for stomatology is 2sm). 
IV. Light therapy - all electromagnetic light streams are applied for medical purposes, but infra-red and ultra-violet beams have most 
distribution. 
 1. The Infra-red irradiation (IR-irradiation) - (the spectrum is 400-760nm) – infra-red beams get into tissues on depth of 14mm. 
They lead to expansion of vessels, stimulation of the blood circulating, increase of the tissue permeability, metabolism, phagocytosis, 
stimulation of oxidizing processes. IR-irradiation is used at chronic inflammatory diseases, at frostibite and at burn.
2. The ultra-violet irradiation (UV-irradiation) - has the following effects: 
- anti-inflammatory 
- desensitizing
- stimulates the metabolism
- stimulates regeneration.
Short ultra-violet beams - SUV (253,7nm) are most effective. They get into tissues on depth of 0.6-1mm. The direct influence of 
beams leads to formation of biologically active substances, which have secondary humoral influence by absorbing into the blood.

UV-irradiation is used at acute inflammatory diseases of the MFA (including purulent), at ulcerative defeats of the oral cavity 

mucous membrane (OCMM), at traumas of soft tissues, for caries prevention, at erysipelas
and at acne. 
The lamps ЛКУФ-3, ОКУФ-5 are applied for UVI. The irradiation begins with 2 biodoses, increasing on 1 point at each 
subsequent irradiation, till 5-10 biodoses.
