Some examples include sharing ideas, feelings, or what's going on around you. The ability to communicate includes learning, speaking, analyzing and empathizing. It is also helpful to understand the differences in how to communicate, such as email and social media, through face-to-face interactions, phone conversations and digital communications. A mathematical communication skill is one of the capabilities that a math teacher has to own. Junior high school students can receive and understand the content (Hana PuspitaEka Firdaus, 2016). Heller et al. (2005), indicated that teachers should provide students with opportunities to engage in various mathematical communication activities that stimulate mathematical discourse to optimize their understanding of mathematics. Mathematical communication requires a vast array of cognitive abilities. It is an exchange of ideas, it involves both listening and reading, as well as speaking and writing (Laney Samons, ascd.org, 2020). Communication is an essential ycomponent of education in and out of the classroom. Social media technologies provide methods of informal communication which promote student engagement and satisfaction by removing barriers to communication. Results show that students are happy and believe that social media for class communication has enhanced their learning experience (Mohammad Alshayeb, 2018). Hamdani (2009) states that the communication process also builds the meaning and robustness of the idea. When students are challenged to think and reason about mathematics and communicate the results to others verbally or in writing, they learn to become more understanding and more confident.
