During our groupmate's lesson on designing communicative tasks on pronunciation, it became a bit clear that effective use of communicative tasks may not always be sufficient for effective teaching. The lesson certainly appeared thoughtfully planned, with a clear objective and appropriate exercise design. However, despite these efforts, the lesson did not connect well with the students, which resulted in a lack of engagement and positive learning outcomes.


Several suggestions could have dramatically enhanced the value of the lesson. These include providing a clear and concise objective.
I look forward to seeing more lessons delivered in another effective format and hope to incorporate similar techniques in my own teaching in the future.

The Total Physical Response (TPR) lesson delivered by my groupmate was incredibly effective and engaging. From the very start, she had our attention with her clear and concise objectives and her enthusiastic and confident demeanor. She started by explaining the theory behind TPR and how it works, and then demonstrated a few activities to get us up and moving.


One of the first activities she did was to ask us to stand up and touch different things on the desk as she called them out. This was a great example of a TPR activity because it was simple, engaging, and required physical participation.
Overall, the TPR lesson delivered by my groupmate was an excellent example of how to effectively engage learners in a language lesson. By using physical activities and clear instructions, she was able to keep our attention and make the learning experience both memorable and enjoyable.
