Financial Reporting Project 5 

(Local Not-for-Profit) 

 

Goal:  To  develop  a  financial  reporting  system  condensing  data  from 

existing accounting system for use by the Board and to develop a system 

to  calculate  and  bill  funding  amounts  due  from  various  agencies  and 

summarize amounts collected and outstanding  

 

Key  Data:  key  financial  data most relevant to performance evaluation 

by  Board  members,  funding  agency  contract  and  funding  data, 

attendance records for individuals using the service 

 

Biggest  Challenge:  understanding  the  logic used to fund programs by 

each different agency and programming the separate funding algorithms 

into  the  system  so  that  individual  attendance  figures  and  funding 

mechanisms were properly matched, reconciled, and billed.
