6.4  Require Mandatory Periodic Group Meetings 

 

 

The instructor should require all student groups to establish a periodic meeting time to discuss the progress 

of the projects with the instructor.  This meeting time gives the instructor the opportunity to check on the progress of 

the project, help to derail any potential problems that may be developing, and to steer the groups back into the proper 

direction,  if  necessary.    However,  the  instructor  should  be  careful  not  to  instruct  the  groups  on  what  to  do,  but  to 

instead limit comments to those that are only advisory in nature.
