principles of flight, wheelless movement, the construction of bearings, etc. are being
developed.
As aviation developed, so did airplanes. But long-term vibration was a
terrible disaster of high-speed aviation - the vibration of the wings that suddenly
appeared at a certain speed, which caused the aircraft of the most durable
structures to disintegrate in the air in a few seconds. After many accidents
designers learned to deal with this disaster: the wings began to be made with
thickening at the end. And only then they found similar chitinous thickenings on
the tips of the wings of butterflies.
Modeling the body of a jellyfish, which captures infrasounds, made it possible
to create a technical device that warns many hours before the beginning of a storm
and indicates from which direction it will come.
The simplified shape of the shark and its external structure became the
prototype of modern submarines. Squid takes the water and pushes it with force.
This helps it to move at high speed. This principle is the reason why man created
the jet engine.
During flight, a bat is guided by the reflection of sound waves created by
itself. Mice's positioning apparatus is more accurate than artificial radio and
sonars.
The ant lion feeds on insect larvae. It breaks funnels in the sand, and if an
ant falls into this trap, the ant lion throws sand behind it, preventing it from
returning. In doing so, he uses his pincers as a sand scoop. After sucking the
contents of its prey, it releases an empty shell from its funnel. Antlion mites pour
sand, grab prey and bite; they work as a syringe, a small suction pump, or a shot.
Thus, they represent a unified mite species with six functions.
Many living organisms have such analyzer systems that humans do not have.
For example, in the 12th segment of the antennae in locusts, there is a tubercle that
senses infrared radiation. Sharks and rays have channels in the head and front of
their bodies that sense a temperature change of 0.10 C.
Snails, ants and termites have a device that senses radioactive radiation.
Many react to changes in the magnetic field (mainly birds and insects that migrate
over long distances). There are those who perceive infrared and ultrasonic
vibrations: owls, bats, dolphins, whales, most insects, etc. Bees' eyes react to
ultraviolet light, cockroaches to infrared, and others.
