My motherland- Uzbekistan
I live in Uzbekistan. It is in Central Asia. The area of Uzbekistan is about 448 thousand of square kilometers. It is bigger than many countries in Europe ( it is twice as big as the UK ).The population is approximately 30 million people. People of different nationalities live here.The biggest rivers are the Amu Darya and Syr Darya. There are a lot of other rivers too.There are a lot of mountains in Uzbekistan too. My home town is called Angren. It is surrounded by beautiful mountains. They are not very high. The capital of our country is Tashkent. It is a big city with a lot of old and modern buildings. There are a lot of parks in Tashkent. There is a good zoo, a lot of museums, theatres, cinemas, cafes and restaurants. People come to Tashkent to have a rest, go sightseeing and do the shopping.
Uzbek people have a lot of nice traditions. Uzbek food is delicious. Uzbek national clothes are really nice. There are old cities. They are Bukhara, Samarkand, Khiva. These cities are world famous. Tourists from different countries visit them every year. Friendly and hospitable people live in Uzbekistan.
