Theme : My motherland’s lakes and rivers.
The aim:
a) To present about lakes and rivers.
b) To enable PP to recognize , read and write about lakes and rivers
c) To develop the pupils oral and writing skills.
The org. moment:
I. The beginning of the lesson: A greeting with PP and to talk with PP about on duty.
II. To check up the homework: My motherland -Uzbekistan.
III. The new lesson: My motherland’s lakes and rivers.
My motherland`s lakes and rivers
I live in Uzbekistan. It is in Central Asia. The area of Uzbekistan is about 448 thousand of square kilometers. It is bigger than many countries in Europe ( it is twice as big as the UK ).
The population is approximately 30 million people. People of different nationalities live here.
The biggest rivers are the Amu Darya and Syr Darya. They are very long, but not really deep. They start high in the Tyan Shan mountains and run through Central Asia. Farmers take their water for the fields and gardens. Farmers use a lot of water and these rivers are much smaller now. There are a lot of canals running from the Amy Darya and Syr Darya.there is fish and people go fishing there.
There are other smaller rivers too. The nearest river to my hometown is Akhangaron river. It is not big, but very fast, because it is a mountain river. Sometimes at the weekends we go fishing with my friends there.
There are not any big lakes in Uzbekistan. There are some small lakes like Aydarkul and others. In the north of our country there is Aral. Many years ago it was a big lake, but now it is very small and it is getting smaller and smaller.
