INTRODUCTION
Today, special attentionis paid to learning foreign languages in our country. We can easily say that the reason for this is the passion and high demands of today's youth for language learning. Because there are many educated and talented young people in our country. In order to further strengthen their knowledge potential, the head of our state Sh. Mirziyoyev decided to learn foreign languages. Of course, there are difficulties in learning any language. The information provided in the topic of this coursework serves to eliminate such obstacles. In any case, before learning a language, we cannot acquire basic knowledge about this language without having information about its sounds, how they are structured, and their place in the sentence. Each person expresses his opinion through words. Sentences are made up of words and phrases, and words are made up of letters. The expression of letters in speech is called sound. Speaking of sound, it is appropriate to mention phonetics and phonology. Phonetics is the study of how speech sounds are made and perceived. Phonology, on the other hand, studies sound systems, that is, how speech sounds are Combined and how they are preserved in tone. It is known that you cannot learn a language without knowing about sound. Today, in the educational process, teaching languages in modern ways, understanding the essence of their units is the need of the hour.
