The theme of the lesson: Unit 3. Sport.
Lesson 1. Sports at school.
The aim of the lesson:
Educational: giving information about sport games, kinds of sports, generalizing the
knowledge of the pupils on new theme, enlarging the vocabulary of the pupils.
Developing: improving pupils’ writing, reading, speaking, and listening skills.
Bringing up: bringing up all pupils in the spirit of loving Sport.
The type of the lesson: mixed.
The method of the lesson: reproductive.
Expected results: a) to increase pupils’ vocabulary, oral speech.
b) to learn to make up sentences using “do”, “play”.
c) to talk each other about sports.
d) to increase pupils’ interest to English
Equipments: 7th form “Fly High”, computer, map, pictures, handouts, cards, blackboard, a piece of chalk.
The beginning of the lesson:
I. Organizing moment:
a) Greeting.
b) Duty’s report.
II. Checking up homework:
What was your homework for today?
Who is ready the answering them?
III. The presentation of the lesson:
Learning new words:
football – futbol high jump – balandlikka sakrash
swimming – suzish long jump – uzunlikka sakrash
tennis – tennis skating – konkida uchish
volleyball – volibol skiing – chang’i uchish
kurash – kurash boxing – boks
running – yugurish
Grammatical rule:
“Play” with games. I play football.
“ Do” with sports. I do karate.
Task 1. 2a Match, listen and repeat.

Task 2. 2c Work in pairs. Say what you like/ don’t like.
e.g. A: What sports do you like?
B: I like gymnastics but I don’t like karate.
Task 3. 3a Translate and answer the questions.

IV. Consolidation.
