unable to find jobs. What problems do you think youth unemployment causes for individuals and the society? What measures should be taken to reduce the level of unemployment among youngsters?
A number of countries around the world are experiencing disturbing high rates of unemployment among young adults who have just left school. This essay will suggest that the major problems with unemployed youth are considered to be an increase in the rate of crime and economic stagnation. It will then submit that developing small business and entrepreneurship for young adults as the most effective solution. The foremost problem associated with school leavers’ unemployment is that the economy of the country will not develop in a sustainable pace. Young adults can increase productivity in the workplaces because they are usually enthusiastic and full of energy. Being unable to find jobs, they will waste their skills and time for unnecessary things which is said to cause indirect economic stagnation. Another problem is that these young people may be prone to committing various crimes if they cannot find an occupation. This might bring negative consequences for both these individuals themselves and the society due to the reason that unemployment among the youth is a high risk of delinquency and asocial behavior. The most viable solution to the problem is to develop small business and entrepreneurship for young people. This is the key to boost the economy by exploiting young people’s potential and decrease the disturbing rates of youth crime. Uzbekistan is prime example, where government is investing huge amounts of money to loan microcredits to young individuals who have a potential business plan to initiate private business. By doing so, the government can drastically reduce the number of unemployed youth because those who set up small businesses are able to employ other young adults too. In conclusion, the major problems arising from young people’s unemployment are stagnation of the economy and increase in delinquency. Governments can create opportunities for young people to start and grow their small business, which may benefit both the society and individuals themselves.

Television news programs are increasingly illustrating the scenes of various disasters and violent behavior to the viewers. This essay will analyze the underlying causes for this and the consequences it might have on people as well as the society. The major cause of this problem is that news programs are competing with other sources. To be more precise, news is spreading very quickly because of the availability of advanced internet technologies that make it possible to read news instantly anywhere in the world. Thus, in order to survive in such conditions and to attract more viewers, program makers and journalists are covering practically any scene which may even have a violent or provocative content. For example, millions of people have seen in the news how terrorists were torturing their victims. At the same time, the program crew was only thinking about reporting the sensation to win in the battle to report first without realizing the harm they were bringing to people and the society. The effects of such widespread coverage of violence are obvious. Firstly, this is causing panic and disbelief among people who are watching the scene in which violence or natural disasters are being shown. These people might start to worry about the future of their country and may think that the same thing is going to happen to them, although in reality they might be far from these dangers. Secondly, young people who are watching this think that vio- lence is normal to societies because of the fact that even news programs are transmitting this. As a result, they are prone to develop inclinations to violence or even tend to emigrate with the possibility of imagined disasters to take place. In conclusion, broadcasting the provocative scenes or disastrous natural phenomena in news programs must be considered a serious issue which results in negative consequences both for individuals and the society. Today, it is common that TV news programmes show the images of disasters and violence to the public. Discuss the reasons and the ef- fects on the individual and the society. 32 Download 479.02 Kb.
