The object of the study is the system of legal relations associated with 
national and international legal regulation of public relations arising in the 
framework of investment activities. 
The subject of the research is scientific and practical problems of 
contractual and legal regulation of investment activity, national legislation and 
legal practice, international legal acts, legislation and practice of foreign countries, 
existing agreed approaches, scientific and theoretical views and legal categories. 
Research methods. This dissertation widely uses such methods of scientific 
knowledge as the study of events and phenomena in the field, systematic analysis, 
problem-oriented, comparative-legal, formal-legal, induction and deduction, 
analysis of statistical data. 
The scientific novelty of the research consists of the following: 
the basic requirements for investment protection and ensuring equality of 
rights and legitimate interests of domestic and foreign investors as well as the right 
to a defense in court and international arbitration in the implementation of 
requisition (expropriation) are substantiated; 
the requirements for providing additional guarantees and privileges to foreign 
investors, ensuring their rights and legitimate interests, the main conditions of 
investment agreements concluded with the Government of the Republic of 
Uzbekistan are disclosed. Consequently, the need for open bidding and public 
control over the conclusion of such agreements is endorsed;

the legal guarantees for the activities of enterprises with foreign investments, 
in particular, the right to open, use and manage accounts in any currency, in any 
bank on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as abroad, to receive 
and return loans in foreign currency, is affirmed; 
the importance of maintaining an open register of investment agreements, the 
implementation of transnational mobility of information in the field of investment 
activity and ensuring cybersecurity in virtual investment relations along with the 
creation of mechanisms for monitoring the implementation of such agreements is 
approved; 
the author's definitions of investment contracts, contracts for the organization 
of investment activities, and smart contracts in investment activities have been 
developed and their standard projects have been prepared.
