Optional activity 4b Write, draw and colour.

Objective: to revise the structure “I like …”

Ask the pupils to read with you the first sentence “I like black …” (ask them to guess the word “bags” which is missing). Ask them to colour the bags. Then ask the pupils to complete the second sentence and draw

any picture they like. e.g. “balls” and read their sentence.

Spelling dictation

Ask the pupils to listen to you and write the letters and words.

Dictate: b, c, e, f, a, bag, dad

You can check the dictation yourself or ask the pupils to check themselves or do it in pairs. Write the letters and words on the blackboard and ask them to compare. Say that if they have many mistakes it means they must revise the letters and words and prepare for the next Spelling dictation.
