Aims

Educational: – to learn two more letters:Mm and Nn;

– to practise Class 1 vocabulary (numbers from 12 to 20 and tens to 50);

– to practise how to greet in English

Developing: – to enable pupils to dosums in English

Socio-cultural: – to raise awareness of thesimilarity between doingsums in English and mothertongue;

– to raise awareness of thepronunciation of the letters“M” and “N”.

Learningoutcomes

By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to: – recognise, say and write the letters Mm and Nn;

– do sums in English using the word “plus”;

– greet each other;

– write numbers 12–20 and backwards;

– say the tens to 50;

– know about the pronunciation of the letters “K” and “L”.
