Activity 1 Listen and sing.

Objectives: to warm up; to revise days of the week.

Look at Unit 2, Lesson 1 Activity 1 for the instructions.

Activity 2 Listen, repeat and do.

Objective: to revise greetings

Play the DVD and ask the pupils to listen, repeat and do.

DVD script:

Boy 1: Shakes hands with Girl 1 and says: Hello. My name’s David.

Girl 1: Hello. My name’s Lisa.

Girl 2: Shakes hands with Boy 2 and says: Hello. My name’s Mary.

Boy 2: Hello. My name’s Tom.

Activity 3a Look, listen and repeat.

Objective: to revise numbers in tens

STEP 1: Ask the pupils to count from 10 to 50 by tens, for example 10, 20, 30 etc.

STEP 2: Allocate the cards with numbers to the pupils and ask them to listen to you. They should run and give you their card if the total is their number, e.g. when you say 10 + 20, a pupil with the number “30” must run up and give you the card with the number “30”. You can also play the DVD to show how to do the activity correctly.
