25 YEARS OF INDEPENDENCE
Ambassador of Azerbaijan: Uzbekistan is the central state in the region, without participation of which no important issue can be solved
Festive atmosphere of the greatest event in the history of Uzbek people – the 25th anniversary of state independence is already hovering over our country. In connection with this auspicious occasion the heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Tashkent, kindly give interviews to Jahon Information Agency in order to talk about the past of our republic path. Thus, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Uzbekistan Huseyn Guliyev, expressing his wishes to Uzbek people, shared his assessments of the work done over the years of independence. – Mr. Ambassador, this year Uzbekistan celebrates the 25th anniversary of independence. We would be grateful to hear your opinion on the success achieved by our country in the sphere of state and social construction. – Over the years of independence Uzbekistan has carried out a large-scale administrative reform – modernization and renewal of the structures of state and economic management, reorganization of local government bodies. And thanks to the successful reforms of the indigenous socio-political system, rapid and sustainable development of the country has been ensured, foundation of a new national state system has been formed, democratic legal state and strong civil society foundations have been established. – Economic development is one of the most important policies of every state. In your opinion, what measures provide a positive dynamics of Uzbek economy? – Your country’s achievements over the years of independence are primarily the result of balanced, promptly started, comprehensively thought-out reformation policy intended for a long-term, liberalization and economic modernization, diversification of its structure. Uzbek model of transition to a socially-oriented free market economy has fully justified itself in practice. It is no secret that today many countries are studying your experience in this area, including the anti-crisis program to prevent and neutralize effects of the global economic crisis. In my opinion, the wide attraction of investments in various economic sectors, an increase in the capacity and volume of exports, sound monetary policy are an important factor of growth of Uzbek economy. – Mr. Ambassador, how do you assess Uzbekistan’s steps towards development of the social sphere? – According to the tradition in Uzbekistan, each year is dedicated to a certain social direction, in the framework of which widespread and effective measures for its development are being adopted. At the initiative of the head of state 2016 was declared as the Year of a healthy mother and child. The state has once again demonstrated its full commitment to a strong social policy and the idea ”human is the highest value.” Considering that healthy and happy family is the foundation of a strong future, this factor has been given one of the priority values in social policy. I am confident that adopted state program will allow reaching new frontiers in this field. – Representatives of more than 130 nations and nationalities live in Uzbekistan. Mr. Ambassador, what factors impact on the assertion of an atmosphere of tolerance in the society? – Having said that Uzbekistan is home to more than 130 nations, you have answered your own question. This is an obvious case of inter-ethnic harmony. Uzbekistan – a multinational and multi-confessional country, where representatives of various ethnic groups live in peace and harmony. Achieving this level of quality is a natural result of national policy pursued by your country’s leadership and based on humanism and universal values. According to official statistics, about 40 thousand Azerbaijanis live in Uzbekistan. They are present in almost all the country: living in Bukhara, Kashkadarya, Navoi, Samarkand, Syrdarya, Tashkent and Ferghana regions, the city of Tashkent. It is encouraging that they have made and continue to make a worthy contribution to the development of economy, industry, science and culture of Uzbekistan. – Please share your views and assessments of current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation between our two countries. – In a short period of time after independence, Uzbekistan has become an equal member of the international community, many international organizations, taking its rightful place in the world. Republic, with its powerful human and resource potential, is the central state in the region, where any important issue cannot be solved without it. Relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan are developing dynamically, effectively and efficiently. In 25 years since independence, they are regarded as a strategic partnership. Azerbaijan is grateful to Uzbekistan for its active support in the election of our country to the non-permanent members of the United Nations Security Council. We, for our part, have always supported and will support Uzbekistan in all international organizations. – Your wishes to the people of Uzbekistan on the occasion of the approaching great holiday. – Taking this pleasant opportunity, with great pleasure I am sending my warmest greetings to the brotherly people of Uzbekistan on the occasion of the anniversary of independence! I sincerely wish you good luck in the upcoming endeavors, happiness, peace, prosperity, well-being and warmth to each family! Download 0.83 Mb. Do'stlaringiz bilan baham: |
