When an authorized driver moves from category low into category medium, the following corrective action step will be taken: Manager will provide a verbal warning of unacceptable driving habits. A driving training course to be successfully completed within 60 days. When an authorized driver moves from category medium into category high within a 5 year period or has 2 or more moving violations within a 12 month period, the following progressive action steps will be taken: Manager will provide a written warning of unacceptable driving habits. A driving training course to be successfully completed within 60 days. Possible Termination or loss of a company provided vehicle. Accidents Professional Conduct Authorized drivers involved in an accident shall always conduct themselves in a professional manner. DO NOT ADMIT FAULT! DO NOT MAKE APOLOGIES TO THE OTHER INVOLVED DRIVER (S). CALL YOUR FLEET MANAGER OR SUPERVISOR IMMEDIATELY. Call the police and request they make a report of the incident. Exchange the insurance information with the other driver(s). Obtain the other driver’s name, address, phone, license plate number and issuing state, driver’s license number, insurance carrier, and insurance policy number. If a camera is available, take photos at the scene. An “accident” shall be defined as damage between the company vehicle and another vehicle, person, animal, or property—no matter how slight the damage may appear. Download 342 Kb.
