RbA OF THE CAROLINASVEHICLE POLICIESPurpose of Program The purpose of this program is to eliminate or minimize injuries and expenses resulting from the use of vehicles which are owned or leased by RbA of the Carolinas, while maximizing vehicle uptime and employee production. Scope This policy and the procedures contained herein cover all RbA of the Carolinas Fleet operations throughout wherever our fleet vehicles travel. Enforcement of Program All employees are expected to fully comply with this program. Failure to comply with any part of this program may lead to disciplinary action. The disciplinary action will be in accordance with the disciplinary process explained in this handbook. Vehicle Use The vehicle shall not be used for the transportation of persons or property for hire. Company-owned vehicles may not be used for any type of personal business, including Uber, pizza delivery, etc. RbA of the Carolinas does allow 800 miles per month for personal use of the vehicle. Towing anything not RbA related is prohibited unless authorized in writing by the Fleet Manager. State laws regarding car seats must be followed at all times. Authorized Drivers Only RbA of the Carolinas authorized employees may operate vehicles that are owned or leased by the company. An “authorized driver” is defined as an employee of RbA of the Carolinas who has successfully passed a Motor Vehicle Record check and is approved to drive company vehicles through the Human Resources Department and Fleet Management. Passengers Operators are strictly prohibited from picking up hitchhikers or other strangers at any time. Vehicle is not to be used as any type of transportation service (i.e., Uber, Lyft, Etc.) Emkay Roles and Responsibilities RbA of the Carolinas fleet program company vehicles are managed by: Emkay 805 West Thorndale Ave Itasca, IL 60143 800-621-2001 Emkay is responsible for the following fleet management services: Vehicle maintenance Accident management Vehicle titling, registration, and renewal Fuel Card issuance; Administration and tracking of fuel expenses Personal mileage reporting Toll Management RbA of the Carolina Fleet Program participants are required to follow the direction provided in this booklet. If assistance is needed the employee should contact Emkay at 1.800.621.2001, ext. 7. If Emkay is unable to provide the information requested; the driver should then contact Rusty Severance at 803.487.5817 or reseverance@renewalcarolinas.com General RbA of the Carolinas reserves the right to modify, suspend or terminate this Fleet Policy, without cause in whole or in part, at any time with or without prior notice.
