The scientific and practical significance of the research results.  
The scientific significance of the research results is explained by the 
possibility of its use in expanding information on the main features of the Uzbek 
literary language at the beginning of the 20th century, dividing the history of the 
Uzbek literary language into periods, studying the history of lexicology and 
terminology of the Uzbek language, investigating the lexis of Jadid literary works 
in the statistical, historical-etymological, lexical-semantic and linguophetic system, 
and compiling lexicographical dictionaries. 
The practical significance of the research results is defined by the fact that it 
serves to conduct specialized courses and seminars on the language of Jadid 
literary works, to teach specialty subjects, to write the historical lexicology of the 
Uzbek language, to create textbooks and manuals in «Modern Uzbek Literary 
Language», «Language History», «Uzbek Dialectology», «Text Linguistics» and 
«Linguaculturology», to promote in mass media the role of the representatives of 
Jadid literature in the development of the Uzbek literary language, and to enrich 
the foundations of the ideology of independence. 
Implementation of the research results. Based on the study of the lexis of 
Jadid literature: 
Comments and lexicographical interpretations on the meaning of words in the 
lexis of Jadid literature were used in the entries of the «Encyclopedic Dictionary of 
of Islamic Studies» (Tashkent: Movarounnahr, 2017) to provide interpretations that 
reveal the meaning of concepts and terms. As a result, the dictionary was 
complemented by new information about Islamic culture, and meanings were given 
for the words requiring explanation; 
The relation of modern Uzbek literary language to the ancient Turkic 
language, lexical-semantic and functional features of the ancient Turkic lexis, 
classification of topical groups, lexical meanings of the ancient Turkic words that 
need explanation and the conclusions about defining the sources of the words 
related to the ancient Turkic language continuing to be used in the Uzbek folk 
dialects were used in creating dictionary-reference book of «Folk proverbs» in 
«Devonu lugotit turk» (Tashkent: Navruz, 2015.- p.90). the scientific results 
functioned as a foundation in explaining the language units; 
The solutions of the issues on linguostatistic, functional-semantic and 
linguopoetic description of Jadid lyrical works and the history of formation of the 
Uzbek language were used in the fundamental project No.OT-F8-090 «Jadid

literature as a synthesis of world advanced literature» (2007-2011) to define the 
linguistic features of Jadid literary heritage (Certificate No.FTK-0313/818 of the 
Committee for Coordination of Science and Technology Development of 18 
November 2016). The use of the scientific results made it possible to accurately 
analyze the linguistic heritage of Jadids, and their activities and scientific-
theoretical views of the national language formation; 
The conclusions about Jadid literature representatives’ attitude to the Uzbek 
literary language and its norms, the main features, ways and laws of development 
of the literary language at the beginning of the 20th century, and the attitude of the 
modern literary Uzbek language to the lexis of Jadid literary works were used in 
the fundamental project No.F-1-06 «Synthesis of Western and Eastern Literary 
Traditions in the Uzbek Literature of the Period of Independence» (2012-2016) to 
make a list of scientific researches on Jadid literature (Certificate No.FTK-
0313/818 of the Committee for Coordination of Science and Technology 
Development of 18 November 2016). The offered materials served to improve the 
bibliography of Jadid literature and literature studies; 
The conclusions about the Jadids’ scientific and literary heritage, defining 
their role in the development of the Uzbek literary language, assessing the issues 
related to the formation and development of the Uzbek language, and determining 
the literary and linguistic features of Jadid poetry were used in preparing the 
scenarios of shows and broadcastings such as «Attitude», «Interview Plus» and 
«Topical Theme» of Bukhara Regional Broadcasting Company, which were 
broadcast in 2015-2017 (Certificate No.1/320 of Bukhara Regional Broadcasting 
Company of 4 December 2017). As a result, the shows and broadcastings were 
improved in terms of both content and popular-scientific aspects.
