Biz “wish”ni biror narsa biz istaganizdan turli xil bo’lsa va siz shunga nisbatan“qani endi/qaniydi” degan jumlalarni tuzishda ishlatamiz. Qisqasi bu ham noreal va hayoliy ish-harakat. Noreal ishharakatlarni aytishda biz bitta zamon pastga tushamiz
I wish that I had a big house- Qaniydi, katta uyim bo’lsa edi (I don't have a big house!).
I wish that we didn't need to work today – qani endi, bugun ishlashimiz zarur bo’masaydi (we do need to work today, unfortunately).
I wish that you lived close by – Qaniydi, siz bizga yaqinda yashasangiz edi. (you don't live close by).
I wish I ate more vegetables – Qaniydi, ko’proq sabzavotlar yesaydim. (I don’t eat more vegetables.) He wishes he had a new house. - U yangi uyga ega bo'lishini xohlaydi. (He does not have a new house.)

O’tgan zamon. Biz wish gaplarda hozirgi zamon uchun o’tgan zamon ishlatgandik. Endi o’tgan zamonning o’zi o’tgan tugallangan zamon bilan ifodalanadi. Mana bu gapga e’tibor qarating: I wish I had gone to the cinema yesterday – Qani edi, kecha kinoteatrga borganimda edi.
So’zlovchi kecha kinoga bormagan, endi hozir afsuslanib, kecha borganida yaxshi bo’lishini nazarda tutib gapirayapti. O’tgan zamondagi ish-harakat (had gone) o’tgan tugallangan zamon bilan ifodalangan.
I wish that I had studied harder at school- Qaniydi, maktabda qattiroq o’qigan bo’lsaydim. (I didn't study hard at school, and now I'm sorry about it.)
I wish that I hadn't eaten so much yesterday! – Qaniydi, kecha ko’p yemaganimda edi. (But I did eat a lot yesterday. Now I think it wasn't a good idea.)
I wish that the train had been on time. – Qaniydi, Poyez vaqti kelganda edi. (But unfortunately the train was late, and so I missed my interview.)
