Sandwich technique.
The sandwich method in teaching a foreign language
is to give oral input between an unknown phrase in the target language and its
repetition in order to convey the meaning as quickly and completely as possible.
The native language equivalent can almost be set aside, to mark it as slightly
offensive in the flow of speech. When creating dialogic sentences for students to
repeat, the teacher not only matches the spoken native language for unknown
words or phrases, but also repeats the foreign language phrase before the students
imitate it: The learner (L)2 => L1 => L2. For example, a German-English teacher
can have the following exchanges with students:
Teacher: “Let me try - lass mich versuchen -let me try.”
Students: “Let me try.”
Teacher: - Farm animals are important for agriculture. Ferma hayvonlari
qishloq xo’jaligi uchun muhim.Farm animals are important for agriculture;
Students repeat (twice): - Farm animals are important for agriculture;
Teacher: - Ferma hayvonlari qishloq xo’jaligi uchun muhim;
