B) Give a full characteristics of the verbs used in the given sentence from the point of meaning (notional, functional, transitive, intransitive), form (tense forms), structure (simple, derived, compound) and functions (in the sentence):

Case № 15
I Formulation of the case-task: Simple Sentence. Parts of the sentence. Primary parts of the sentence
Sentence is a basic unit of syntax. Sentence expresses a final idea, it has a communicative idea, it is grammatically organized, intonationally arranged. The sentence is a communicative unit, therefore the primary classification of sentences must be based on the communicative principle. The method designed for showing as many functions as possible is known as the model of members of the sentence. This model states that a sentence includes the main members, namely the Subject and the Predicate, which are called the primary parts of the sentence.
II Try to find out the solutions of the following problems:
1.Give a full description of Simple sentences and the primary arts of the sentence in the English language using the below given brief information. Make use of the tables, schemes, diagrams etc.
2.How do we differentiate a sentence from a word combination and a word? Give your arguments.
3.Speak about classification of sentences according to the structure and purpose of utterance.
4.Give some information about principal part of speech. Subject and Predicate. Give examples.
III A) Classify the sentences according to the purpose of utterance. 1. Shall I start from the very beginning? 2. He always comes in time. 3. What a lovely day! 4. Come to see me tonight. 5. Stop talking, please!

B) Point out the primary parts of the sentence in the following sentences and define what part of speech they are expressed by:
1. Henry brought his mother some flowers.
2. Reading for the examination took most of his time.
3. Gallio slowly nodded his head. (Douglas)
4. I had to listen to her long mono­logues on the Japanese. (Buck).
5. He pointed to the dog looking at me hopefully.
