Today’s schedule. Quickly review the schedule (on powerpoint slide or in Mentee Workbook).

Slide 7 – Today’s Content

Slide 8 -- Session 1 Morning Objectives

Remind mentees that you want them to have the “big picture” of the intensive week. They will learn how to use the CoP resources as they need them.

Slide 9 -- What is a Community of Practice?
It is a group of people who:

  • Share common interests and concerns

  • Find solutions and support each other

  • Share best practices and create new knowledge to increase student learning

  • Work together over a long period of time

Slide 10 – What does ESN’s CoP3 look like?

  • RPM conducts 6 6-hour CoP sessions over the course of one week

Slide 13 – You (Mentees) should download the TESOL’s 6Ps and TETE Modules to your electronic devices. The QR codes are in the Mentee Workbook. This is important so you can review the information during and after the CoP, use activities from the resources, and keep information after the CoP has ended.
