Devices based on pulsed radiation are affected by short bursts, during which
each quantum of radiation transmits certain energy to the tissues. Subsequently, cells
and tissues in the treated area die and evaporate. It is important that during exposure to
these devices, nearby tissues do not heats up, heat transfer is not carried out, and they
remain intact. We can say that this type of laser has a selective effect, which contributes
to rapid recovery and healing of the treated skin.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of the use of CO2
Laser (carbon dioxide laser) in the treatment of patients with benign skin tumors.
Materials and methods: The study of patients with benign skin neoplasm was
conducted in the TashPMI clinic and the private clinic "HAYAT MEDICAL
CENTRE".
The main group of patients consisted of 26 patients: vulgar warts-11(42%),
plantar warts - 5 (19%), epidermal nevus – 5 (19%), fibro epithelial nevus – 3 (11.5%),
fibroma-2 (7.6%).
In the main group, when using a CO2 laser, laser vaporization of visible
pathological changes was performed to destroy the epidermis and cells.
Carrying out the procedure with a CO2 carbon dioxide laser
The procedure is carried out in several stages:
The first stage is skin cleansing. The skin is cleaned from decorative
cosmetics with special antiseptic preparations.
The second stage is to perform anesthesia 30 minutes before the start of
the main procedure. Local anesthetics in the form of cream, gel, injections or
spray are used as painkillers. If it is necessary to eliminate serious skin defects,
General anesthesia is performed.
The third stage is the direct treatment of the necessary skin areas. This
