Professor: I want to talk to you today about the process of 
publishing a scientific article, but before we get into the 
details of that, I want to talk about the general landscape of 
science publishing because there are over 20,000 scientific 
journals published in the world at the moment which 
between them publish more than a million articles each year, 
and over 200,000 science books are published each year. It’s 
a very crowded landscape, so making sure that your work is 
visible is really a key concern.

when the action takes place and also on what kind of 
information is presented in each part of an abstract.
