The Department of Psychology was founded in an independent department in 1976. From the first days of its foundation, such scientists as M. Muzaffarov, A. Sadullaev, B. Mamazhonov, V. Karimova, M. Atadjanov, M. Abdullajonova, K. Rakhimov carried out their activities.

Currently, the head of the department is Ph.D., Associate Professor M.T. Isakova.
The department operates the "Center for Psychological Aid" and "Scientific Laboratory".
For the students of the direction "Psychology" four scientific and practical circles are organized.
The department established scientific and practical cooperation with the Tashkent branch of the Moscow State University.
