Inclusive Green Growth in the Context of Sustainable Development and Poverty Alleviation " to help achieve higher development and economic goals, while at the same time helping to protect the environment and enhance societal well-being. Reaffirmed targeted support and commitment to promoting low-carbon development strategies to optimize green growth potential and ensure sustainable development, on which "our future depends".
Requirements, norms and standards that can be applied to specific product characteristics or performance can become an effective tool for achieving environmental goals and forming sustainable markets for goods and services. For this reason, G20 member states will voluntarily submit a self-report on their efforts to integrate green growth and sustainable development into the IHTT, World Bank and UN structural reform agendas.
Integration of green growth and sustainable development policies into country-specific structural reform agendas and development levels, and progress reports on green growth policies can pave the way for green structural change.
In December 2009, a set of strategic proposals adopted by the UN General Assembly on global warming and the financial crisis made the green economy one of the main measures, including the promotion of inclusive green growth, the "Green New consistently expressed support for the general principles of the agreement.
As climate change continues to have a significant impact on the global economy, G20 leaders reaffirmed their commitment to sustainable development at the 2012 UN Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio+20) (UN Climate Change Framework convention). The need to implement the agreements reached in Cancun and Durban was also confirmed.
Green growth emphasize the importance of integrating economic and environmental policy dimensions in a way that opens up opportunities for new knowledge sources of economic growth. International efforts to launch a knowledge platform on green growth to better leverage public and private funding for inclusive green growth investments to interested developing countries, including through the Public-Private Dialogue Platform provides appropriate support for learning.
