Abstract
Modern linguistics requires in-depth study of the lexical and termi-
nological aspects of each field. In Uzbek linguistics, the terminology of the
judicial system also has its own development history, and there are stages
of formation in terms of the use of lexical units and terms. The English lin-
guistics of the terms used in the court process refers to the functional-se-
mantic study of the lexical units used in the court system.
Key words: legal linguistics, citizen, law, court, forensic investiga-
tion.
