MUSHOKIL (Eng. Mushokil) – It is a literary term belonging to Aruz. It is poetic device for rhythm from the circle “muntazi’a” with the pattern “fo’ilotun mafo’iylun fo’ilotun mafo’iylun”. Babur analyzed 18 ghazals with this rhythmic patter in his book “A”. 12 out of these 18 patterns are considered new patterns invented by Babur, the other 4 belong to patterns “matbu’’(tabga muvofiq)”. Babur also invented “musammani mushkul” rhythm in “mushokil” metric system additionally. “One line of the ghazal in this pattern can be read in the rhythm “mashkul” the other line can be read in rhythm “solim” and the real rhythm is not clear:
Yuzi birla ul oy qaddi – biri sarvu, biri lola,
Xati birla aning xaddi – biri mohu, biri hola, -p58

MUSHUK (Eng. cat) – It is an animal is from the order of Carnivore, family Felidae (the cat family) a prey animal of mammals. The cat was honored in ancient Egypt as animal bringing happiness. It was probably domesticated to hunt for mouse and rat in the house and widely spread round the world. It was mentioned in Baburnama in comparing to the cat in the size of “ro’bayi parron” [“B”, on folio 135 a].

MUQAVVIYXONA (Eng. Mukavi Hana) – It is a name of the rehabilitation area near Herat built by Sultan Husain. It was used in its direct purpose as treatment center or place. Badiuz-zaman Mirza invited Babur to that rehabilitation place when Babur was in Herat [“B”, on folio on folio 190 b].

Muqaffo – literary term of Arabic origin used in Aruz poetry. It means “a poem with rhyme” [“A”, on folio 98 b].
MUQIM ARGHUN (Eng. Muqim Arghun) – He was the son of Zunnun Arghun. In 1503 Muqim Arghun seized Kabul and married to a daughter of Ulughbek Kabuli. He ruled Kabul province in 1504. Muqim Arghun yielded Kabul without battle to Babur when Babur came to city. Babur led him and his family members to Kandagar to the palace of their brother Shah Shujo Arghun. When Babur went to Kandagar in 1507 Muqim Arghun and his brother went against him. There took place a battle between Babur and brothers with the defeated of latter. (see. Mohchuchuk Begim)
