LEXICAL MEANS OF CREATING AN IMAGE A CHARACTER IN FICTION 
Annotation 
This article examines the lexical means of creating the image of a character in fiction and considers such as metaphor, epithet, 
comparison, antithesis as the most expressive. In addition, the author also comes into contact with terms, and his participation in 
the creation of the characteristics of the characters of the novel is considered and it is proved that the image of the character has a 
complex two-dimensional artistic structure, which at the subject level is created by a complex lexical means of expression.
